CLIENT BACKGROUND

ICIMOD is a Nepal based research and development organization leading the global effort to protect the Hindu Kush Himalayan Region (HKH) and the people, resources and culture that define it. They influence and advance policy in some of the most complex places in the world, and with an incredible network of partners and peers, they continue to solve the challenges that face the people and mountains of this region. 

Vast oceans have long been considered the heart of this planet, and the Amazon has often been described as the lungs. The HKH? This is the pulse.

 

MY ROLE (UX&UI)

  • Discovery sessions in Kathmandu, Nepal with ICIMOD team

  • Created an iron-clad component based system to account for the 10,000 pages that comprise the ICIMOD website experience

  • Identified 35 pages that encompassed the key elements of the site, and used them to produce a cohesive user experience (UX)

  • Designed a thoughtful user interface (UI) that was easily digestible by the user given ICIMOD's wealth of information

  • Produced mobile and desktop designs

  • Performed quality assurance checks during development process
